This goes without saying, but doing the steps below will erase your data, so proceed only if you wish to destroy all of your data on your array. This is a relatively secure way to securely wipe your data in general cases. Obviously for sensitive applications, this may not suffice.
SSH into the box (or console) and run the following commands:
If you’re really concerned about the data, it is also worth setting the array up again (you’ll need a console cable) with a RAID policy different than what you had before with zero spares. At the CLI after setup, “member select membername” then “raid-policy raid50-nospares.” You could also write a bunch of junk data to it, etc. then run the reset command again.
